最初の妻はアメリカ人女性だった。
My first wife was an American woman.
だからアメリカの文化や慣習を尊重しようとしていた。
So I tried to respect American culture and traditions.
クリスマス、サンクスギビング、独立記念日、などなど。
Christmas, Thanksgiving, Independence Day, and so on.
でも、溶け込もうとするほど、日本が恋しくなった。
But the harder I tried to blend in, the more I missed Japan.
日本語が話したい、日本食が食べたい。
I wanted to speak Japanese and eat Japanese food.
こうして最初の結婚は2年で終わった。
This is how my first marriage ended after two years.
2回目の離婚については、またいつか話そう。
As for my second divorce — I'll save it for another day.
そう、またやらかしたのさ。。
