僕は最近、この街に引っ越してきた。
I have recently moved to this city.
だから、いろいろな住所変更をしなくてはならない。
So I have to change my address for many things.
そのうちの1つが証券会社だ。
One of them is my securities company.
この類の会社は、手続きがかなり厳しい。
This type of company is pretty strict about the process.
僕の場合、マイナンバーカードと運転免許証のコピーを送らなくてはならない。
In my case, I have to send copies of My Number card and driver's license.
さっそくコンビニへ行った。
I went to a convenience store right away.
白黒は1枚10円、カラーは1枚50円だ。
It's 10 yen each for black-and-white, and 50 yen for color.
コピーする前に、ちょっと計算してみた。
Before making the copies, I did a quick calculation.
合計4枚必要なので、カラーだと200円、白黒ならたったの40円だ。
I need 4 copies in total, so color would be 200 yen, and black-and-white would be just 40 yen.
でも、もし白黒がダメだったら、また最初からやり直しになる。
But if black-and-white isn't accepted, I'm gonna have to do it all over again.
160円を節約するために、そのリスクをとるべきだろうか？
Should I take that risk just to save 160 yen?
気づいたら、不審者のように、コピー機の前で立っている自分がいた。
There I was, just standing in front of the copy machine like a weirdo.
