【第2話】ハローワークで英語を使う仕事を探す

ハローワークでは無料で職業相談ができるらしい。
I heard that Hello Work offers free job counseling.
なので電車とバスを使って行ってきた。
So I took a train and a bus, and visited the office.
正直、あまり楽しそうな場所ではない。
To be honest, it didn’t look like a fun place.
英語を使う仕事を探していると担当者に伝えた。
I told the person that I was looking for a job where I could use English.
すると2件ほど紹介してくれた。
He showed me two listings.
1つは港で貨物を扱う仕事、そしてもう一つは輸入業者の倉庫での仕事だった。
One was handling cargo at the port, and the other was working at an importer's warehouse.
だが、これらの仕事で自分がうまくやっている姿を想像できなかった。
But I could not imagine myself doing well in these jobs.
僕は「少し考えます。ありがとうございました。」と言ってそこを出た。
I said, “I’ll think about it. Thank you for your help,” and left the office.
