Be Affluent to Be Minimalist

Minimalism is often described as a lifestyle of simplicity, but what most people don't realize is that minimalism requires a certain level of affluence.

Affluence does not simply mean wealth, but also the confidence and inner security that allow a person to let go without fear.

Only those who feel that they already have enough can intentionally reduce what they own and still feel safe.

In this sense, what we call "minimalism" is not an expression of scarcity, but a quiet declaration of abundance.

Perhaps true minimalists are people living on the street, though their simplicity may not have been a matter of choice.
