友達から返事がなくてモヤモヤする / 日記で学ぶ日常英会話（第05話）

僕にはあまり友達がいない。
I don't have many friends.
これには理由があると言えばある。
I say there is a reason for this.
僕は3つの違う小学校に通った。
I went to three different elementary schools.
中学は石川県で、高校は愛知県だった。
My junior high school was in Ishikawa, and my high school was in Aichi.
そのあと、留学をきっかけに、アメリカに15年住んだ。
Then I went to America to study and ended up living there for 15 years.
その間に、僕はアメリカ人の女性と結婚したが、2年しか続かなかった。
During that time, I married an American lady, but it only lasted for 2 years.
2011年、僕は誰にも別れを告げずに日本に帰ってきた。
In 2011, I came back to Japan without saying goodbye to anyone.
友達が少ないのも無理ないな。
No wonder I don’t have many friends.
